Default 1500 point tourney armies

OK, I've got a tourney coming up and I'm gonna use the next months gaming to try different units etc to build an ideal list. Here's a few lists i came up with already and I'll be interested to see which one you prefer and why. The list will be a "take on all comers", it won't be the final list but it will give me an idea. The army with the most positive feedback will be gamed with this week and I'll post a battle report to let you all know how it went! Thanks in advance!

Army 1;

HQ; Captain, Term armour, Power weapon, Storm bolter. 120 points
Command squad, 5 termies, 2 assault cannons, Furious charge x6 258 points
Land Raider transport, extra armour and smoke 258 points

Troops; 8 marines, Serg term hon, power fist. Melta. 160 points
Rhino, extra armour, smoke. 58 points

8 marines, Serg term hon, power fist. Melta. 160 points
Rhino, extra armour, smoke. 58 points

Elites; 6 veterans, plas/las. Tank hunters 133 points

6 veterans, plas/las. Tank hunters 133 points

Fast attack; Tornado 80 points

Tornado 80 points


Army 2;

HQ; Master, term hon, jump pack, lightning claws 140 points
Chaplain (MOS), term hon, jump pack, power fist 160 points

Troops; 2 x 10 marines, plasgun, serg term hon and pow fist 380 points
2 x Rhino's, smoke and extra armour 116 points

Elites; 2 x 6 vets, plasgun, lascannon, tank hunters 266 points
2 x Razorbacks, twin lascannons 140 points

Fast attack; 5 x assault marines (join HQ) 110 points

Heavy; Pred annih, lascannon sponsons 145 points


Army 3;

HQ; Master, term hon, pow weapon, plas pistol.
Command squad, 5 x marines bp + ccw's, company champion

Chaplain (MOS) term hon, jump pack, pow fist

Troops; 10 x scouts bp + ccw's, serg term hon and pow fist
10 x marines, melta, serg term hon and pow fist. Rhino, smoke
6 x marines, plasgun, lascannon

Elites; 6 x vets, plasgun, lascannon, tank hunters
Dreadnought, venerable

Fast attack; Tornado
Tornado
7 x assault marines, serg term hon, pow fist, combat shield (join chappie)

Again these are only trail lists designed to familiarise me with the different units so please don't tear them to shreds, i know they're not perfect! Over the coming month I'll be posting a lot of bat reps with experimental lists so keep an eye out!

i like the armies my fav is army 2 who seems mobile and shooty. though do you only want one predator it seems like it will be shot up alot. if you include a second the predators will last longer as the fire will be divided. are you attaching both hq's to the assault squad?

Yes, the HQ's are gonna join the assault squad, as to your earlier point i was hoping having 5 tanks on the board (albiet four of them are transports) that it wouldn't get popped so early. I haven't actually got that many transports yet, this is why i'm planning ahead! Thanks for your vote though! Keep an eye out for the bat rep, (although i may have to change the list slightly cos of the transport situation, unless i use proxies)
