Default His Imperial Majesty's Grey-Haired Footsloggers [1000]

This is a fairly simple list I made purely for the fun of it. Pretty much, the idea is that you just can't kill it all in six turns unless you're playing Armoured Battalion with nothing but Leman Russ battle tanks.

Of course, its totally helpless against anything with an armour value over 10, but hey, like I said, its purely for fun.

Chaplain
10 Space Marines
10 Space Marines
10 Space Marines
10 Space Marines
10 Space Marines
10 Space Marines

So, have I already mentioned the major weaknesses, or is there anything else wrong with it? :P

are they all armed with bolters? if so they'll probably find it hard in combat and against heavy armoured targets

Yeah, all bolters. The list is exactly 1000 points, so there isn't any wiggle room unless I lower the model count...

I bet I could kill it in 6 turns.

I Serioulsy I think its just sorta silly, I wouldn't really qualify it as an army list.

If you want to honestly do a marine horde at 1000 points then go for it, but drop one squad and use the points to make it a real army.

Indeed. 50 power armoured bodies is tough to kill in 1500pts let alone 1000. Dropping a squad to give the rest a few missile launchers and plasma/melta guns would make this army a good all rounder. I do think it might get a lil boring pushing a mountain of just tac marines around all game though

This really wasn't intended to be a necessarily useful list. :P

But if you insist:

Chaplain w/ lightning claws
10 Space Marines w/ meltagun
10 Space Marines w/ meltagun
10 Space Marines w/ lascannon
10 Space Marines w/ lascannon
10 Space Marines w/ plasma cannon

Personally, I think it actually adds to the fun when you literally do that. ;D

Personally, I think it greatly adds to the fun when you make a literal mountain out of them and literally push it around the table.

No problem I've made all grot army lists before! Just figured I'd give a lil advice that would give your men a bit more firepower without sacrificing the infantry legion feel. I reckon 50 at 1000pts is still a hell of a lot of models, so if you wanted a few bigger guns you wouldn't have to compromise your idea very much at all.
