Default Finalising my Salamanders:

Thinking about my Salamanders again today. I repaired a few and painted a few up. I haven't used them for a while as they just don't perform well at all. Plus I just didn't like the feel of my old list either. Again, this list isn't meant to be a power army but I feel that it is very fluffy. No codex again, so the points may be off.

Captain; 100
Thunder Hammer,
Storm Shield.

8 Marines; 175
2 Plasma,

8 Marines; 175
2 Plasma,

7 Marines;160
2 Meltas,

Venerable Dread; 155
Tank Hunter,
Multi Melta,
Extra Armour,
Heavy Flamer.

Dread; 115
Heavy Flamer.

Seige Dread [Forgeworld]; 120

1000 Points

For 1500 I add;

8 Marines; 175
2 Plasma,

Vindicator; 125

Techmarine; 100
Full Servo Harness.

6 Marines; 100
Multi Melta

EDIT - Damn!, I just realised I have 4 Elites, is there any way I can get this army with different traits?. Isn't there one that lets me have Dreads as Heavy Support?
Brunettes and Beer.

The Dread trait is 'Heed the Wisdom of the Ancients", however any dreads taken as elite MUST be venerable.

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?

Heed the Wisdom of the Ancients would allow you to take two of those dreads as Heavy Support and leave the Venerable as one of the two remaining Elites.
