Assault cannons are usually more useful than multimeltas because of their rending special rule. And those dreads with CC Weapons are not going to shoot much and the Asscan is cheaper too. That way you have a few more points to throw around.

I dont like las/plas squads simply because I dont like having heavy weapons mixed with rapid fire weapons. I either like to have stationary squads woth heavies or mpoblie squads with rapid fire or assault weapons. But a lot of people like las/plas squads so... whatever

I really think you need to give the bike sarge a power fist.

If you dont use any of my other suggestions at least use those 3 points to give a Dread smokes. why not?

His idea of having the Multi-melta and the heavy flamer on the same tank-hunting dreadnought is not uncommon: Drop pod into the back armor of some tank, you get a 9+2d6 (hopefully) strength attack as well as a strength 6 (IIRC) auto-hitting attack, so it's not a bad choice.

The Chaplain on a bike is a different idea, I'm assuming he's with the bike squad...

The Las/ML dread is a great idea ;D

I'm not a big fan of the min/maxed squads, you don't need it with all the dreadnoughts you have running around. So make it a squad that you're actually going to be giving your bikes some support with, like having one stationary with a heavy bolter and then another with a flamer or a plasma gun, just so they're not sitting there the whole game.

Sniper scouts are a good choice, I would probably make the whole squad snipers just so you don't spend points on the bolters and waste them.

For the bike squad, I would switch out the plasmas for meltas, you don't want your bikes to go down the drain because of an overheat, do you? I agree with The Sword, give the sergeant a power fist for dealing with high-toughness characters because you already have a power weapon in the form of the Chaplain's Crozius.

I'm not sure if you can make heavy support dreadnoughts venerable, and even if you could, I wouldn't wast the points on the Assault Cannon ones, as they really don't benefit from it as much as the other dreadnoughts do. Also, I would suggest keeping the Storm bolters on the Assault Cannon dreadnoughts, you get more shots off when you're advancing as opposed to drop-podding in and already being in range to use it.

Like I said before, you have plenty of Anti-Tank walking around in the form of Dreadnoughts armed with various weapons, so no need to spend points on two anti-tank oriented marine squads...

The extra tac squad is exactly the way I run my marines, but it costs 205 points because you have to buy the lascannon and then replace it with the plasma gun...

I really think that with all the high-strength guns running around attached to dreadnoughts and having your bike squad double as a mobile tank-hunting unit (re-roll hits on power fist and melta bombs? yes please!), your marines should be focusing more on number of shots rather than strength. I suggest vetting rid of the las/plas squads and going with another squad of dual plasma guns, so you can move up and fire without being fired upon thanks to the distractions known as dreadnoughts...

I don't have the Marine codex handy, but I think the Lascannon/ML venerable dreadnought with tank hunters is 165 points, not 150 or 170...
