Default Ghost Arm 2nd Company (1000 Points, my first list.)

Alright, here's my first army list for my first game... It's nothing fancy because I don't have enough models to go all-out. (I'm actually essentially using everything I've got but I planned my purchases to match my tactics. Mainly hit and run, high mobility, etc.) All I know about my first opponent is that he's playing Black Templars. I'd really like to at least put up a good fight for my first battle, if not win outright... So let me know what you think. I know I have a noticable lack of anti-armour weaponry; it's due to a lack of models with heavy weapons. I'm pretty sure my opponent isn't using a lot of armor anyway, but yeah. The plan is to attach my commander to my Assault squad and kick some ass. C&C welcome, but go easy. It's my first list. And if anyone has any tips for the game...

Nice list, but on a fairly terrainless board you might be S.O.L. because you will be pretty exposed...
Maybe you could lose a few upgrades on the commander and take see, but don't be seen trait so you can get all your non fast troops up close in a hurry. The dread seems out of place but I can't think of what to do with it...

MY plans for the Dread are risky. I'm hoping to use my bikes and my land speeder to keep the enemy busy from the start, which should give my Dread time to lumber up the field. (Again, this is all in my head because I've never actually played a game. I don't know how well it will actually work.)

Adamantium Mantle and Iron Halo are both relics. Only 1 relic in total per army is allowed

D'oh!

See, that's why I post this stuff.

Well, since I have to choose between the two, which would you recommend?

Oh, and the game got screwed because scifigenres.com doesn't recognize my school address as a valid shipping address. (Which is ridiculous; I've built my army with models mailed to this address.) Since they can't ship it here, I'm not going to get it in time... So no sniper scouts, and no jump pack for my Commander, and make that Assault squad three men smaller.

I would recheck the points cost of that Jump pack assault squad with vet sergeant you have. You put down 170 points. I see them as being at least 231 points. Just the base cost of the 7 assault marines, not counting the vet sergeant throws you over the points you calculated for the entire squad.

Other than that, just be wary of no terrain boards as Adrenelyn spoke of.

Thanks a lot; I'll run the numbers on that again.

And the game is this afternoon. I'm excited.

That puts the Assault squad up to 211. Rawr. Now I have to fix the list AGAIN...
