I think this list is a good all comers list. I should be able to take on just about any army that I encounter at the tourney I am going to. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

*I realize I don't take advantage of any of the salamanders traits, but that is only because of the low points. It is still pretty fluffy, well..., I hope it is. I just like assault marines, whadda ya gonna do.*

As fluffy as the Multi-melta's are, you are probably better off without them. Their range and heavy status are just too limiting in most circumstsnces. If you can use the chapter's traits go for a second melta gun instead. You then have a fully mobile force with some scary close up power.

I think Salamander marine squads are best off 8 men strong with short range weapons with a Searg for punch in CC, which they will probably get in.
All I could say otherwise is that the Vet's squad is slow..though should be ok.

I know most people dont like the multi-meltas, but I do. I have never regretted taking them. Plus, I have the melta bombs as back up

I know that the vet squad is low and slow, but that is why i gave them the infiltrate skill instead of the other choices. They can get in close before the game even starts.

Forgive me if I'm wrong (which I probably am) But the scout squad has a problem. I know that that set up is what comes in the box but giving a Scout A Missle isnt worth it is it? I mean the Krak round is wasted, unless you want to waste all the sniper Rifle shots..

The rocket launcher is there for back up tank busting and the frag missile is support for the snipers

And Kraks are good against monsterous creatures, which, incedentaly, are weak against snipers as well.

Hmm, the monstrous creature support and frag rounds seem worth it though anti tank doesn't seeing as firing off a Krak round at a tank means wasting Sniper shots.
