Default Raven guard list

I have 1 raven guard list, even though its not really raven guardy as I wanted it to be (i made the list from another chapter and a friend got me into raven guard) I need a list that is good against hordes at times, but also guys like Demon Hunters.

Heres an idea for the list.

Chaplain : Jetpack, terminator honors, that force power weapon, power that allows him and squad to reroll failed to hits in cc
Librarian: Terminator suit, force weapon
Elites:
5 Terminators: 3 with lightning claws and 2 with assault cannons >

Troops
5 scouts with 4 snipers, and other sergeant
10 scouts with ccw weapons, 10th a sergeant
10 tactical marines, 1 with plasma gun

Fast attack:

10 assault marines, accompanied by chaplain, sergeant with power fist, 3 with plasma pistols >
5 assault marines, sergeant with power fist
10 Bikes, 2 bikes with multimeltas (can't find my codex, not sure if normal bikes can have the multimeltas on them.) :-\

Heavy Support:
Dreadnought with assault cannon.

Not sure if everythings correct, cause I'm still looking for the codex :P

I really suggest you find your codex.

Just a few things I'd like to point out.

On your terminators, you can't mix the assalt cannons and lightning claws, those are two different squads, the terminator assault squad, and the terminator squad.

About the bikes, you can only have up to 5 in a squad, but you may add up to 1 more attack bike (multi-melta one)

So you'd want to divide those bikes up something like this:
2X- 4 bikes+1 attack bike with multi melta

And Dreadnoughts aren't Heavy support.

So at this point, I'm going to ask of you 1 of two things, so I could help you out in the future.
1) Find your codex and make a list to put up here, so I and others can comment on it.
OR
2) make a list of all the models that you have and post it up here, so I and others can possibly throw together a list for ya.

Just trying to help.

Good idea. I'll remake the stuff. I just started space marines, and only have the codex, so I just wanted to make a list for the future basing it on all the opponents I face, I tried to make a horde/power armour killers. I thought I had it near me but when I posted it I knew there was something wrong but right now it'll take a while sorry!

Oh, I think I misread this morning, for some reason I thought you had received models and made a list out of them.

Because that seams not to because, I will give my input!

If you want to have both commanders and the termy squad, then I'll think that the list would be a 1500 pt list.

Here's an example of one with the basic ideas that you have shown:

Army Name: Autarch Uthlanar's List

[HQ]

HQ 1: Reclusiarch Chaplain: 121 Points
- Terminator Honours
- Jump Pack
- Bolt Pistol
- Power Weapon

HQ 2: Epistolary Librarian: 148 Points
- Terminator Armour
- Psychic hood
- Force Weapon
- Fury of the Ancients
- Storm Bolter
[ELITES]

Elite 1: Terminator Squad: 240 Points
- 2 Termys with Assault Cannons and Storm Bolters
- Sergent with Power Weapon + Storm Bolter
- 2 Termys with Storm Bolter and Power Fists

Elite 2: Dreadnought: 110 Points
- Assalt Cannon
- Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon
- Extra Armour
- Storm Bolter
[TROOPS]

Troops 1: Tactical Squad: 150 Points
- 9 Marines with Bolters
- 1 Serg. With bolter

Troops 2: Tactical Squad: 160 Points
- 8 Marines With Bolters
- 1 Marine with Plasmagun
- 1 Serg. With Bolter

Troops 3: Scout Squad: 85 Points
- 4 Scouts with Sniper Rifles
- 1 Sarg with Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon
[FAST ATTACK]

Fast Attack 1: Assalt Squad: 260 Points
- 7 Marines with Bolt Pistol and Close combat weapon
- 2 Marines With Plasma Pistol and Close combat Weapon
- 1 Vet. Serg. With Power Fist and Bolt Pistol

Fast Attack 2: Bike Squad: 225 Points
- 4 Bikes with Twin linked Bolters
- 1 Attack Bike with Multi-Melta
- 1 Serg. Bike with Twin Linked Bolters
[HEAVY SUPPORT]
Army Total: 1499 Points

Hope this is somewhat like what you had in mind.

Are you using the triats given in the codex? If you are, I recommand using Assult Squads over bikes.

Exactly!! Thats what I was looking for kreative! awesome trying to get something close to it, but thats better!
I'll trade my bikes out for assault bikes depending on the battle thanks guys for the awesome help! ;D

I'll probaly take out the first tactical squad and put in a 2nd, and put in another assault squads, I want it to be very raven guardy.

Keep the bikes if you already have them, assault bikes and bikes have two different roles. What I suggest is making an assault squad Elite, with the Raven Guard traits, then split the bikes into 2 squads of 5 with an assault bike (the ones with the multi meltas) in each. You can even pay 20pts to give each squad 2 melta guns which then makes them a very big threat against armor that is also nice and tough to soak up damage from your softer elements of the army.

The Terminators and Dreadnaught Im not so sure about in a Raven Guard list, if you want them then by all means use them but if not then sell them and get something you do want.

Well, the termies and dreadnought were going to be the main guerilla warfare (forgot to give dreadnought drop pods!)
I suppose with a librarian with them and high armour they will do well in cc already
Assault marines will pounce enemies cover-to-cover.
Tactical marines will provide covery fire hiting the firey targets
Scouts will snipe out the special units
Termies will come in and hit a weak spot.
Dreadnought will come in and well... never used one so I'll have to figure out
Bikes, well played my own type of craftworld eldar where shining spears was the main aspect, and played Saim-hann eldar, do I think I'll know what to do. A sense just comes in me saying thats the right place to put them and then it works and I kill

Hmm.. Seeing those landspeeders really tempts me to get some in place of a dreadnought, like an eldar vyper but multi meltas, assault cannons, much different equipment and seem very raven guardy. Good idea?

Hey!

Well, seeing all the replys, and the confusion they might be causing, I think I'll post up anouther list to give you a taste of what a Raven Guard army could be like.

Army Name: Sample Raven Guard

[HQ]

HQ 1: Master of Sanctity: 156 points
- Terminator Honours
- Artificer Armour
- Jump Pack
- Power Weapon
[ELITES]

Elite 1:Assalt Squad : 280 points
- 10 Marines with Close Combat Weapon, Bolt Piston
- Furious Charge
- 1 Marine with plasmagun

Troops 2:Tactical Squad : 130 points
- 7 Marines With Bolters
- 1 Marine with Plasmagun
Army Total: 1496

You'll probably notice that you're missing the Terminators, Dreadnought, and Librarian in this list. By taking out those, you were able to add in anouther 10 man squad of Assalt Marines with furious charge, upgrade your chaplain to have a better armour save and more wounds, and add in a squad of multimelta wielding land speeders.

Also, you may notice that you lost some bodies in the form of tactical marines, but those were made up in the assalt marines, and you still have a total of 53 Marines. There is now a Lascannon in a tactical marine squad, but you could take that out and put in anouther marine if you wanted your tactical squads to advance and shoot still.

So yea, you may or may not like the looks of a Raven Guard army, but worth a try to show ya it!
