This is my first 'Real' post on this forum My Chapter is named Hawks of Azarah.

Well, you have 2 points left over. Give your Chaplain a bolt pistol and some frag grenades. Trust me, it's worth it every time.

In my opinion, Assault Terminators aren't very good... I've rarely gotten a very good return out of them. They're slow and expensive, and their transports are expensive. I recommend dropping them.
Speaking of transports, the LRC is most of the time a huge point sink. You could get nearly three Marine squads (6-man w/ heavy bolter) for the same price and have more firepower and durability, plus more scoring units. Big flashy things like the LRC and Assault Terminators aren't a very wise investment.

Ok, I'm a little confused. You have two Marine squads and three transports... Is the third for the Devs? It's a good idea to put dedicated transports with the unit entry in your list, so there's no confusion.

Sorry, but Assault Squads don't get melta guns. Also, I'd take out the flamers from the squad with melta bombs; if you're going after tanks, flamers won't help you.

The Dev squad is alright, although it's generally a bad idea to mix heavy weapons. But the plasma cannon isn't an absolute foil to the heavy bolter, so it's alright to an extent. However, you need to keep your squads even-numbered, so drop one guy from the squad.

If you enact some of the changes that I suggested, my first recommendation is to beef up the Assault squads to at least 8-men strong; the more bodies the better, especially for assault squads. My second is to get a fist on the first Tactical sergeant.

On the Plasma,Lascannon squads I bought in some extra marines because I had some points left.. Now what do u think of this list ? Comments are welcome!
PS I know that Plasma, Lascannon squad are uneven but that was the only way that I could do with the extra points :'(

There are two things you should keep in mind: pick a squad's purpose and don't multi-task (you'll waste points that way) and keep even-numbered squads (they need to lose more guys to be below half, e.g. 6-man teams need to lose 4 as compared to 5-man teams that need 3).

You cannot take Rhinos on their own. They must be purchased for a squad that has access to them. So you would have to attach the third rhino to the Dev squad or something. Also, you're underpaying for them by one point (3).

Ok, give your Chaplain a Jump Pack. Stick him with the Assault squad, he'll increase their ability considerably. You have to buy Melta Bombs for the entire squad (excluding chaplain since he was not originally taken with the squad but rather joined during set up) so you need 10 instead of 5. That'll run you (30) points, all told

Get another Tactical squad with double special weapons (205) and stick them with the extra Rhino.
Now you can go one of two ways. You can take a second Assault Squad minus the melta bombs (277) or pick up another Tactical squad with a Rhino (263). Personally, I'd go for the Tac squad since you need as many vehicles as you can get.

With that, you've spent (501) or (515) points, leaving you with 230 or 216 points.
If you took the Tac squad (230 left), then that's perfect for two 6-man las/plas tac squads (230) for fire support. The las/plas squad looks like this:
6 Space Marines @115
. Lascannon
. Plasma Gun
Alternatively, you could purchase an 8-man Assault squad with Furious Charge and a Veteran Sergeant with a power fist (230).

If you decided to take the Assault Squad, then I'm not very sure what you can do for the extra 216 points. Maybe an 8-man Scout squad with Vet Sarge with a power fist and frags (142), drop the melta-bombs on the first assault squad (-20) to leave you with 94 points, which is enough for a Landspeeder with Heavy Bolter and Assault Cannon. The speeder has got awesome firepower, and your opponent might be tempted to shoot it instead of your Rhinos which will give you time to close the distance. The scouts can make good use of their skills to pull of a second-turn charge, which will give some cover to your assault marines who should back them up on turn 3. Then you have 14 points left over for doo-dads.

I got 322 points left. I can't go for tactical squad and Rhino and still get plasma gun, lascannon squad.. After I bought Tactical squad with Rhino I got 59 points over.. So one is best to go for. Plasma, Lacannons squad or Tactical squad with rhino ?
