Default Arbite List ; Using Scouts - 1000 Points

Ok, I have an Arbite army. All Metal, the classic miniatures and a few from current ranges that look right with the army.

But I think my best bet of getting an even remotely competative, 100% legal army is using SM Scout rules. So here is what I was thinking of using -

[size=14pt]HQ[/size]

Arbitor Senioris - Captain;
Plasma Pistol,
Power Weapon.

I use the old Black Templar High Marshal model for this but replace the Combi Melta with a Plasma Pistol. He looks very Arbite-ish.

[size=14pt]Troops[/size]

Arbites Patrol Team 3 [6] - Scout Squad;
Shotguns,
Krak Grenades.

Arbites Patrol Team 1 [10] - Scout Squad;
Shotguns,
Proctor [Sarg];
Plasma Pistol,
Power Weapon.

Arbites Patrol Team 2 [10] - Scout Squad;
Shotguns,
Proctor [Sarg];
Powerfist.

For all of these I use the classic Arbites with shotguns. Squad 1's Proctor is a Proctor [Enforcer Sarg I think it's called?] from the Necromunda range and Squad 2's is a Cadian Sarg.

Arbites Combat Team [10] - Scout Squad;
Bolters,
Heavy Bolter.

For these I use the classic Arbites with Boltguns and the Necromunda Enforcer with Heavy Stubber.

Arbites Support Team [6] - Scout Squad;
2 Sniper Rifles,
Missile Launcher.

I need 3 more Boltgun Arbites and the Scout with Launcher to complete this squad.

[size=14pt]Fast Attack[/size]

Arbite Rapid Pursuit Team [6]; - Scout Bike Squad;
Melta Bombs,
Proctor [Sarg];
Power Fist.

Arbite Rapid Pursuit Team [3]; - Scout Bike Squad;
Melta Bombs.

For these I use Scout Bikes, but I use the front panel [the bit that goes over the Bolters] from the Chaplian Bike, with the whole Imperial wings thing on.

52 Models;
2 Plasma Pistols,
2 Power Fists,
1 Heavy Bolter,
1 Missile Launcher,
2 Sniper Rifles,
2 Power Weapons.

I know, It still isn't very competative but I'm severly restricted by fluff, unit options plus the fact I was trying to use all the models I have. Still any suggestions are welcome on what you think needs doing to improve the list. Fluff is more my main concern than buying more models.

I'm going to miss the Executioner Shotguns though.

I've included a few Plasma Pistols to get a little anti-tank and because the 2 models with them I already have. I'm having to rely on my Bikes for anti tank, not sure how reliable that will be?. My small Patrol Team also has Krak Grenades just in case things get desperate.

how many points is that ?

Couldn't you do a converted razorback?

But then waht would you tak them with?

I'm going to go out on a limb with this, and shift gears totally, but since your list of models is here, maybe this could be of some help/use to you when trying to get it to work better in-game, without sacrificing anything from the fluff, but instead, actually getting more in several ways.

Instead of using Scouts and the Space Marine list, use the Witch Hunter list with inducted Space Marines.

I tried working it around the models you listed as much as possible, with a few cosmetic changes. A few real changes, but only via rules. More fluff oriented choices that the Arbites use. Went on a few limbs, knowing about other models you have. So we'll see. Just an idea for you at least, but allowing a lot more options that the normal Scouts don't offer; but Witch Hunters do combined with Scouts. Still quite fluffy, and much more mildly competitive (you can even bust tanks).

Also, a little atlernative if you want to work it in:
