i think you need to limit the costs of your HQs. you need more tactical squads thats not a lot of stuff for 1500 points. i don't know exactly cuz i dont play marines but thats my opinion. maybe a rhino would be good.

Yeah, I know, but that librarian is pretty much the only way apart from yhe tanks to take out a Hive Tyrant, one of my most common oppositions. Also my librarian is upgraded to go with the story I wrote which is posted in the stories forums. I probobly do need more tactical squads though.

Plasma pistols on the asualt squad arn't efictive as you get 1 shot .
Give your libraion the second lightning claw so he has an extra attack.
Replace preditor with 5 devistators.

Not alot to do considering the fluff.

i would personally drop the flamer in the tactical squad. The chaces are that you are not going to be moving during the game and therefore not going to be in range to fire it.

Bolt pistols get one shot too but thanks about the devastator idea I will consider it. Also with the second lightning claw it means he dosn't get the force weapon that he has to have and looses the instant kill psychic power. And Night mare, may I ask you why I wouldn't be moving

because you have a VERY expensive heavy weapon in the unit. Moving would decrease its efficiency

Um... Doesn't your Captian have an Adamantine Mantle. If it is from the SM commander box then it does.

You don't have to field him with a feindishly expensive peice of Wargear just because the model has one... how about just saying he has a cape? :

HQ:
I hate the Librarian - the Lightning Claw denies an extra attack, the "Prefered Enemy" is null and void since if you take it on one model, you have to take it on all of them, and the lack of Infiltrate drops the effectiveness of the Tele-Homer. The Captain is worse still - the Powerfist negates the high Initiative, and the lack of mobility makes the whole character a point sink.

Elites:
Not bad for the Terminators, but you need numbers in the Veteran squad - while it's scary to charge, you won't have many left by the time combat comes... if any at all.

Troops:
I recomend taking the assault weapons trait - a squad with one flamer won't do too much, but a squad with two will be more effective... the close range of the Meltagun won't be done any favours with the Lascannon, so 2x Meltas would be a much dealier combo.

Fast Attack:
Powerfist over Lightning Claws - as it is, you'll be in big trouble if you run into a Monstrous Creature or Dreadnaught.

Heavy Support:
Throw in Extra Armour and you have a winner .

The lightning claw might lose an attack but it gains a reroll on the to wound part and i hadn't read that part about the preffered enemy. Sorry. I think i might change the commander now and i like the idea with the veteren squad.
As for the tacticals you cant take 2 flamers in 1 squad as far as i know.
The powerfist would work with the assault squad though and the extra armour on the tank will help
