I would drop a marine and take plasma guns in your squads to take advantage of the apothecary... I wouldn't bother with the whirlwind unless you fight enemies with low saves or horde armies, something doesn't seem right taking a venerable dreadnought without a lascannon, I would suggest the lascannon to add more anti-tank to your list, just don't drop pod... to me, the point of drop podding is to get your CC dreadnought into CC fast without being a huge target, if it's a shooty dreadnought, keep him on the table... other than that, seems fine...

Hey Mage,

Lets look over the list:
[hr]

[HQ 1] - Chaplain - Looks good, cheap and functional just like he should be. Personally I'd drop the Meltabombs however.

[Elites 1] - Dreadnaught - Looks good, I'd get rid of the Missile launcher however. This guy's rightful place is in close combat.

[Troops 1 ... 6] - Tactical Squads - Not sure if I'm missing out on something here, but these squads look like they should only be 184 points each. Otherwise, they are geared for close combat, but have no way of getting there. The Apothecaries are are a waste of points really in an assaulty army as their Nartheciums (Narthecia?) do not work when locked in combat. You could almost buy a drop pod for the same points! The squads also have no special weaponry, and no powerful close combat weapon. You should drop two of these squads, and drop the Apothecary from the rest. Give each Veteran Sergeant a Power Fist, and stick a special weapon in too. Give the squads Rhinos or Drop Pods so they can get to the action more quickly. Spend remaining points on an Elite Veteran Squad with Lascannon and Tank Hunters skill, and a Tactical Squad with Lascannon, so you have some potent long-range anti-tank firepower.

[Fast Attack 1] - Assault Squad - Looks good. Again however, you should really have a power weapon or fist (or otherwise) on the sergeant, just so that you aren't totally stuck when something tough and nasty comes your way.

[Heavy Support 1 & 2] - Whirlwinds - Whirlwinds are great.

[Heavy Support 3] - Predator Annihilator - I'd recommend dropping down to heavy bolters on this so that it is less of a fire magnet.
[hr]

Taking those suggestions, you could come up with something like this:

[size=8pt][HQ 1] - Master of Santity @ 136 pts
- Jump pack
- bolt pistol
- Terminator Honours

[Elites 1] - Dreadnaught @ 160 pts
- Assault cannon
- Extra Armour
- Venerable
- Tank Hunters
- Drop pod

[Elites 2] - Veteran Squad @ 133 pts
- 6 Veteran Marines
- Lascannon
- Plasma Gun
- Tank Hunters

[Troops 1 & 2] - Tactical Squad (x2) @ 484 pts
- 7x Space Marines
- Meltagun
- 1x Veteran Sergeant
- Power Fist & Bolt Pistol
- Furious Assault
- Rhino
- - Extra Armour
- - Smoke Launchers

[Troops 3 & 4] - Tactical Squad (x2) @ 420 pts
- 7x Space Marines
- Flamer
- 1x Veteran Sergeant
- Power Fist & Bolt Pistol
- Furious Assault
- Drop Pod

[Troops 5] - Tactical Squad @ 115 pts
- 6x Space Marines
- Lascannon
- Plasma Gun

[Fast Attack 1] - Assault Squad @ 246 pts
- 7x Assault Marines
- 1x Veteran Sergeant
- Power Fist & Bolt Pistol
- Furious Assault
- Meltabombs

[Heavy Support 1 & 2] - Whirlwind (x2) @ 170 pts

[Heavy Support 3] - Predator Annihilator @ 135
- Twin Linked Lascannons
- Heavy Bolters
- Extra Armour

Total -- 1999 pts[/size]

This is a much more functional force. The Marine squads are now equipped to get to combat as quickly as possible, and with a Power Fist will be much more efficient. They have a variety of short-ranged anti-infantry and anti-tank weaponry. You have more long-range anti-tank weapons, one operating at effectively S10 against vehicles. You can even squeeze in Terminator honours for the Chaplain, and another two Assault Marines. There is now a good mix between static, mobile and deep striking units and vehicles.

What do you think? Was this the kind of thing you were looking for, or something different?

Well, I looked at my codex again, and decided that I had made a horrible list. I changed a few things around, and came up with a new chapter to explain the traits and such, which will be up in a little while once I finish writing the fluff. However, the new army list is as follows.

Advantages: See, But Donít Be Seen; Suffer Not The Works Of Heretics

Disadvantages: Aspire To Glory; Have Faith In Suspicion

HQ
1 Master of Sanctity 141
Bolt Pistol
Jump Pack
Melta Bombs
Terminator Honours

ELITES
1 Dreadnought 180
Assault Cannon
Heavy Flamer
Venerable
Tank Hunter
Extra Armour
Drop Pod

TROOPS
6 Marines 193
Infiltrate
Tank Hunter
1 Marine

Lascannon

Plasma Gun
1 Sergeant

Plasma Gun
1 Sergeant

Heavy Bolter

1 Sergeant
Bolter

Plasma Gun
1 Sergeant
Bolter

7 Scouts 144
Sniper Rifles
1 Sergeant
Sniper Rifle

7 Scouts 144
Sniper Rifles
1 Sergeant
Sniper Rifle

FAST ATTACK
5 Assault Marines 234
Melta Bombs
2 Assault Marines
Flamers
Melta Bombs
1 Sergeant
Bolt Pistol
Power Fist
Melta Bombs

Heavy Support
1 Whirlwind 85

1 Whirlwind 85

1 Predator Annihilator 150
Lascannons
Extra Armour

Total: 1999

I think I have better anti-tanks and anti-infantry weapons, along with better traits to make use of them. The plan is to use the infiltration to set up the AT weapons with direct line of fire to tanks and the same goes for the ant-infantry.
