I took some shots for the army list I'm doing for an upcoming tourney,( the list is worth 10 pts out of 200 ),
so I'm trying to make it look cool.

My idea for background on my army came from looking at the map of the Tau empire. Just beside the Damocles Gulf, between Vior'la and Dalyn'th is an strategically located world called Arthas Moloch. I figured that the Tau could not leave a planet in such a location undefended, and since everyone works for the Greater Good, all Septs would have to work together to take care of defending the border regions.

So I created The Tau Sept Coalition of Arthas Moloch, which ( so says me! ) is located on a desert planet that was once fertile ( hence the color scheme ). Troops and Crisis suits come from Vior'la, pathfinders and stealth from Sa'cea, and Heavy support comes from Dalyn'th ( I don't have my codex with me-it's at the print shop- I think that spelled wrong ).

Kroot and Humans are descendants of those who fought in the Damocles crusade ( on Arthas Moloch )

The tournament I'm attending this weekend allows VDR and forgeworld stuff ( after inspection by the organizers ) The Tetras are IN, and I'm happy about that cause thay are great little vehicles ( you'd be surprised at how many things the TL pulse rifles have killed!).

Simply beautiful. Light color schemes just work great on Tau for some reason. Very nice!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. It's been quite a project and I am happy to say that I am finally done!

7 months, approx. 200 hours of painting time, 5 pots of commando khaki, 4 pots of catachan green, a total of 70 miniatures plus 5 battlesuits and 5 vehicles.

I have bad eyes so I have to paint under a lit magnifying glass. I have shaky hands so I have to wear my hockey elbow pads to brace my arms on the table to remain steady ( without the pads my elbows are sore in minutes )
But damnit I'm done! It's quite a feeling to start out on a long road with a tabletop of unpainted figs and actually get to the end. I can't believe it!
I have 4 days to spare until the tournament, the Greater Good will be well represented.
