Default Pavi Daemon Hunters Army

Um, some of you may remember when I posted parts of this army before (under a different name). It is all finished and It's my most favourite army I know have. I even had a hat specially made for me that was orange and blue to match the army.

Anyway, pictures I suppose. It is pretty much exactly 1500pt as shown, minus a couple of the terminators.

Yay?

, that hits your eyes like an incandescent bullet, which isn't a bad thing (well, the bullet might hurt, but these certainly don't!). They really stand out from the normal silver you see dominating daemonhunter armies.

Also well done on getting too 1.5k, I know far too many people that have taken up grey knights and then stopped because metal was too hard to work with, but you have persisted, so well done for that.

My only complaint (and it's a very small one) is that the orange looks rather thin in some places, maybe if you do more grey knights (or orange and blue knights) you could basecoat them white, then paint half of them black, and paint the orange on the white and blue on the black?

Thank you .
I don't like the Silver, so I chose a bit more exciting colours. The orange is brown, with blazing orange then a black wash then highlight with more orange (too keep it muted). I'll keep in mind what you said though. I hope to double the armies size eventually one day.

Interesting scheme. Looks kinda like a badass virque du soleil (sp?) And I like how you did the fiery swords!

Hmm, I'm not digging the paint scheme. Multicolors just kinda throw me off. :-\

Different.

3 Things I like.

-The Difference in scheme, Original and well presented as an army

-the GS flames

-The two inquisitors? The fantasy mage models. They look great.

3 Things I dont like

-The Orange. Looks WAY too thin on some models

-The blades? on the dreads. Just look like a strip of plasticard with GS flames

-The kneeling guy. His sword is coming towards him by way of that position.

And I think the bases are lacking something. Maybe paint the edges black to bring it out more.

Red and blue! Give that man an Imperial Laurel!
Certainly breaks the "Grey" knight mould :P But i agree with JD that the red/orange is a little blotchy in places.

Keep up the great work

Thanks for pointing things out. The paint scheme I've been meaning to 'touch up on' but have never yet found the time. You've nailed the dreads correctly lol, and the inquisitor (kneeling guy) I've been meaning to replace. The mages are my mystics.

The Orange has been washed with brown to make it 'faded' then edges highlighted. I guess I should work on it. The grey bases, are until I can get my basing materials back. Which is not likely for a while...I'll paint the edges black though, sounds like a good idea.

Glad you guys like the scheme.

For baldes... Cut them into a more blade like shape. Then ad some supports up the sides to give it some depth. Could look good then.
