Default My Salamander Spacemarines

Lately, I have started repainting some of my old Salamander Minis.
Previously I had painted them with flat colours with just some highlights.
Now I try to add a bit more depth to them, undercoating in chaos black then building up layers with dark angles green, Dark angels green:snot green (50:50) then snot green. Before a finial highlight with scorpion green.
I also decided to paint the logos and insignia rather than using the transfers.

Here is how they look now.
Any comments and criticisms are welcome.

I like the hammer insignia on the sholder pad

First of a veteran squad.

I haven't stuck the shoulder pads on the termis yet as I'm going to buy some forgeworld ones.

Very nice. They're posed well and painted well.

The only thing I don't like is the way the biker is holding his pistol. Very gangsta. I just don't associate space marines with all the gangsta shizzle.

Really? Space Marines seem to be the one faction in 40k that really brings out the "Gangsta Rapper" in me. I can honestly see a squad of Marines slaugtering their way through a field of enemies to the tune of some Rap song.

Those Salamanders are fantastic. I really like the posing of the biker. What gun is he holding?

The gun is a silenced bolt pistol.
Hey I cant stand rap music myself but the pose just seems natural for a biker.

Some very nice models you have there. Your marines being Salamanders is something which rates your army as awesome in itself. But you've also painted them very nicely. And I'm particularly impressed by the flames and your terminator models.

Beautiful work, love the green finishing. The flame-lightnings on the thunderhammer is brilliant, I have always had trouble trying to capture that particular effect.

Really? In the novels they are consumed with the seriousness of their business training for and conducting war than to be strutting around acting cool. Why would a space marine need to pose and act like a badass when he quite literally is a superhuman badass?
