You definitely like your red. I see some blacklining in there too, nice work on the leg armor.

I would definitely suggest two things. First, thin your paints a bit. The paintjob looks kind of thick. Tap water will do, but better to use acrylic thinner, flow enhancer, or even a brush cleaner heavily diluted with water. You'll notice the difference right away.

Second, it looks like you used a gloss varnish, I think? Might just be personal preference, but I hate the way glossy models look most of the time. I recommend matte. Then, you can brush on ardcoat (gloss) to the bits you want to be shiny, like sensors and such.

can i suggest that in future you crop images and reduce the size somewhat, using a program like photoshop or paintshop, because as it is, that pisture takes a long time to load on slower connections (such as mine), and i for one am not willing to sit around for long enough to let it load (i suggest a maximum width of about 700 pixels, and an image size no larger than 100 kb. trust me, you cna fit plenty in that )

well for youre first they aren't bad. i suggest thinning your paints a little. add just a little bit of wat to them when you use them. other than that they are perfect targets models.
the red is a lil bright methinks. mabye adding a mayer of brown ink or just go with a darker red. they would stand out in a fight no doubt about that.
all in all not bad for a 1st.

They seem to have just recently finished wading through a lake of blood. Are your Tau in any way associated with Khorne?

All is... um... dust.

WEll I never thought I would here me saying this but ya your photos are so big my poor cheap dial up cant even downlaod all of them.

They are a little blurry also.

So after you crop them and get used to the camera that should help out alot.

Or once I get my Charter High speed up and going wount matter to bad.

Anyways to the painting.
Not bad for a first go.
Little red but hey I went threw my red phase just check out my photo site.

Not to bad just keep at it and learn from what everyone has already said.

Thin paints, highlight and dull coat or spray a flat over your guys when your done will help that shine alot.

So good job keep it up and cant wait to see your improvements on over time on the site.
