Default Word Bearers dreadnought.

Well I just finished painting my converted SM dread a few hours ago, Admittedly the conversion was done terribly, and I'm not happy with my blending and battle damage on this model, but it's not being entered into any competitions so it will do .

C&C welcome and wanted .

Awesome! I would coat the base with Varnish so it looks more liquid, but maybe you have and it's just the camera...
Personally I would either drybrush or very lightly ink the metal areas with black, but that's just me. I like the glow on the rocks!

Awesome, I think the bubbles are a tad to bright though.
On my lava bases I use Anita's 3D gloss give a real nice effect

There is no denying it is well made and well painted, but my problem stems from the "Word Bearer" aspect. That thing does not look even remotely Chaosy. You put Purity Seals on it for goodness sake!

Apart from the huge Chaos symbol above it's chassis.
I agree it could look more evil, but I wouldn't say it's too bad. It's not blue and yellow and a huge 'U' on it. :P
And maybe it used to have purity seals, but they've been corrupted?

I think they're meant to be impurity seals...

Lovely model, with great pose and paintwork, but I do agree with Wargamer insofar as it needs just a little more Chaos-ification. Add the charred and scarred body of a heretic attatched to it by chains or something, or even just a few more spiky bitz.

That isn't a "Chaos symbol." Eisenhorn has an ornament like that atop his staff.

If I saw it with no post explaining what it was, I'd call this a Loyalist Dreadnought first, Inquisitorial second, Chaos not at all.

Note the staff head. Very similar. Not identical, but very similar...

Yeah, but it's not the chaos symbol.
Although I see what you are saying, if you swapped them over I might not notice. :P
