Default My first completed model

Yes, you've all waited for it! It's been 4 months and Gopher has FINALLY got around to painting up his first miniature!

So, without further adieu:

Took me about 7 hours to paint...Again, this is my first mini I have ever completed, painted, or based.

Whaddya think? Comments? Suggestions?

Thnx!

Nu ma nu ma iei.

In that case, so is sex. Therefore, pornstars and prostitutes are professional athletes.

Sorry, fujifilm digital cameras suck. And yet, my family STRIVES to buy the most expensive, yet crappiest, of them all.

I can't do any better than that, sorry...

Thnx!

nah, i doubt its the camera (sorry, not ragging on you. i'm just gonna suggest a few ways to make it better)

firstly, make sure your cam is resting on something around 30-60 cm away from the subject (i know it might already have been). then make sure its set on macro mode, zoom in until you have reasonable focus, then hold the button half-way, as this will make it focus, then direct the focus to where you want the focal point to be, and push the shutter the whole way down...and snap as many pics as you can

Many digicams have a "close-up" mode, or the ability to autofocus on what's centered in the viewfinder. I was taking really crappy pictures until I figured out how to activate that, so if yours has any functionality like that, it's worth a trip to the manual. :>

Edit: BF chimes in with some more detailed suggestions. My camera's focus works the same way he's describing.

Cheers. Now if I can just get the lighting right so that I don't need the flash.

Well, I had it on automatic before, so I'll just fart around with it till I get something right.

For the lighting, you might just want to adjust the iso (or is it shutter speed?).

I really don't know what I'm talking about, I just hear what my grandfather (photographer) says.

Thnx!
