Default Apocalypse datasheet design for Tau "titan"

Hello all!

What I want to show in this topic is the datasheet I have made for my Tau "titan" XV101 battlesuit.
I will take this with me on games when I use it and will keep notes on how many structure points I have left when I lose some, or when make notes of weapons destroyed.
And of course... I just like doing things like this.

I have made the datasheet to look similar to GWs Apocalypse Expansion book datasheets.
The names on the weapons are made up of course.
Any comments and ideas are wellcome.

Yours Truly

Yes the model is mine, and the rules are the exact same as the Warhounds, as it is a "count as" model.
I agree on some point with you that Tau shouldn't use Titans, BUT, I play a renegade army so they have to make do with what they get their hands on.

Hell, you can use house rules in any game! Apocalypse just invites you to do so. :P

Great idea, well realised. Shame about the typos though.

Yes, there is a section in the Apoc rule book that covers house rules.
I'll see what kind of rules I can make up and still be within the limits.

Typos are fixable, so just point them out

Thanks.

You can't see 'em by just re-reading? Well 'encounters' is missing an 'S', there should be a space between 'operates' and 'the', likewise between 'information' and 'of', and 'technicians' is missing an 'N'.

There are also some spelling errors. The following words are spelled thusly:
  • Campaign
  • Sophisticated
  • Finally

There's a punctuation error too; It's should read its in the given context.

I don't know about grammatical errors as I've never been much good with grammar myself, but '...can destroy whole armies on its own.' or '...by its self.' might be better than '...by its own.'

That's why other people besides the author need to proof it, Tom. A lot of the time since the writer knows pretty much exactly what he/she wants to say, that's the way he/she will read it, and mistakes slip by. It's happened to me on several occasions. If a different person reads it, they're far more likely to catch the mistake as you can see. Its a strange thing, but it happens.

Anyway, that thing is pretty sweet. And with fluff to back it up, it looks like you've got a winner. Although I will say that I think the name is a bit repetetive. Also I'm not so sure of the "Hellfire Gun"; that name sounds more Imperial than Tau.

Pen is mightier than the sword eh Tom?

[hr]

Apart from my thoughts about the Tau not using 'titan style' weapons platforms due to their impractical nature I do feel this is worthy of a cookie.

However heavy 15 on the plasma burst cannon is that not a bit much for a single weapons system with those statistics? But then the whole lot is 750pts...

...I want a pie,

Good lord how did you conjure up such magnificence? :sadnshocked: The most advanced Publishing software I have is MS Word 2000! My parents seriously need to update this computer. :P

Great work, and please tell us your recipe?
