Default XV101 MBTB (Tau version of Warhound titan)

Hello all!
I have now in the past three days after work been working on a Tau Empire verison of a warhound. This is my result.

(You can't really see it on the picture but there are several fire warriors on the base. Can you find them all?)

Heh. It does seem a little like a Skyray Transformer. :funny:

Don't let anyone give you garbage about "unfluffiness". That is an awesome model, and really does manage to look like something the Tau might build.

That is awesome Vash. I like how it is made entirely out of tau bits. Wait those finger look like seeker missiles. That is awesome. Nice conversion. They are well beyond the simple conversions i do. Like giving a fire warrior a different Ariel.

Wow! great looking model Vash!

That really does look something like the Tau would build Because of how skinny it is, and its lengthy arms, it kinda reminds of of Eldar Revanent Titans .

Great Job!

To me, this one does look better than Circus Freak's but again it doesn't look like a large battlesuit (which is probably what (If anything) the Tau would build). The entire thing is more elongated and eldar rather than the Tau who are squater than my lovely space elves.

If you fattened the body, legs and arms significantly and made the chest a bit more like a battlesuit, this would look very good.

Well played man! And exceptionally fast turnaround on building it!

Again, as well as with mine, I don't see how it *doesn't* look like a large battlesuit... although yours more so than mine.

Plus your base is awesome =D

If you're UK based, we so need to meet up in a store somewhere for an Apocalypse battle and just drop down our titans and the other side will be like

How tall is it?

Oh, thanks for all the great replies, pro and con ones.

I wated to give him something for the back, and since the skyray sprue allready was looted, why not att the wings to the giant

It is made from Tau bits only and acctually only from a three pack of piranahs, Skywray (and an addtional skyray upgrade sprue) and 2 additional gun drones. Of course, as I said, the weapons can be made from anything you have at home. But I had alot of spare Ion cannons
The model I have done here isn't really that hard to do. It "may" look complex but it really isn't. It's like playing and building with lego. The "hard" part was to figure out where everything should be and what to use.

I agree on that it maybe should be a little thicker around the chest and the upper leg parts. But I didn't find anything I could add without making it look orkish (orks smacks on junk on junk). So I decided to play it safe.
And by the way, the XV25, XV22 and XV15 are slimmer than the XV8/88s. Maybe the earth caste took them in their inspiration Doesn't have to be a XV8 enlargened

It is true it took three days to do only. But it only took that little time since Circus freak had laid out the ground work, thanks Cricus freak!, so it was just straight ahead from the basic structure.
Painting it is what took the longest time. Probably around 7 hours, since I didn't really know what to paint
Building it, well that took 6 hours, and today I think I can do it faster and probably better. But thats just the way it goes, redoing something will only make it better in most cases.

@Circus freak
I don't live in the UK sorry. I live in Sweden.
But to your other question, the MBTB is around 11.5" tall. If you include the base and antennas he is 12" tall. Thats 1.5" talelr than the warhound which was my measure ment when I made the MBTB.
Thanks mate on the comments and the inspiration.

Oh, 5 fire warriors is the correct answer. Seen from our view, one to left of the leg on the rock, one behind the same leg, you can maybe see the helmet if your good , one directly on it's right edge of the leg.
The last two are situated in a line under the other leg.

Thanks again for the comments.
