Default my first decent space marines.

right, i have this deal going on with a local shop [selling GW] we are talking about a 'club' sort of thing and they suggested i paint some SMurfs in shop colours, yellow and blue, i have been 'given' a box of 3 to paint up.

i have done 2 so far.

here is one of them, please rip.

the shop name is 'the Gas Cupboard'

as to more details on the 'club', you pay x and get 1 [or close] off of GW box sets. they like the idea.

Maybe a bit too much "ardcoat", but otherwise, a nice model.
Not the usual "ultramarine blue and skull white marines", but instead a challenging scheme, i can see, lots of work went into those SMurfs, so, keep up the good work!

Erm, no...I think they're stuck that way. Might I suggest you just use matt varnish in future though? Nice yellow by the way, very brave painting blue right next to it. Good job.

You could spray krylon Matte Sealer over it and that should knock the shine right off

Just Dullcoat right over the gloss with either testor, GW or Krylon Matte seal. it works like a charm. might not get all the shine off but it will get the bulk of it, and your troops are well protected
