Default Horus the Warmaster

My stockist wanted me to take photos of some minis. So I thought, yeah the usual Ultramarine or IG Tank.

Then he gave me this to shoot. And my jaw fell...

It was sculpted by the same person that sold the Slannesh Army I posted here some time ago. This model has been hiding in my stockist store room and never revealed to anyone.

Jaw drops from skull [Attempts to re-attach it]

FOR THE EMPEROR! WHAT HERESY IS THIS?

It's so well sculpted it must be the workings of a REAL Chaos worshiper!

It has a very Adamsmith-like feeling, It just lacked the eyes on the torso.

Other than that, the thing is just amazing!

Kinda reminds me of a Spanish "Emperor Of Terra" I saw a while ago.

Not even Victoria Lamb could've done it better ;D.

The eye on the shoulder, that's a clear wink at Resident Evil, but none the less, it looks very, very cool. The work on the axe is amazing.

OW. That is amazing. I'm not that keen on some parts (looks VERY comically square-shouldered, weapons somewhat big etc) but you have to admire the sheer amazingness of that thing. Do you know if he used any particular model as a start point, or did he build the entire thing from scratch out of GS?

Is it just me or is the head a bit disproportionate compared with the rest of the body?

Other than that it's awesome

It's a great wonderful, don't get me wrong, but Horus never went all out chaos like that. But yes my jaw did drop, almost as far as when I first saw some of gareth's mini's.

I actually do like the model alot. Warwolt i'd like to see you do better. However it's not Horus. It can't be. Maybe a really cool new take on abbaddon before he got his daemon sword but not Horus.

It seems to be GS and bitz over a pretty much stnadard obliterator

Warwolt, you need to be more constructive in your posts. It's ok to not like it and even say what you don't like about it as long as you aren't so negative about it. If you can't comment on things you don't like without the attitude, just don't comment on it.

I personally like the model. I have been toying with the idea of a larger Abaddon conversion for fun and possibly to use in the occasional game and this will definitely give me some inspiration.
