Default Red Terror Project

So I saw someone a while back convert their own Tyranid Red Terror model and I saw it and thought "Hey! I could do something like that!" and I was inspired to convert my own Red Terror in a similar fashion, with my own unique twist on it. Anyway, here are the finished pics!

That looks great, really. Like the shading/highlights on the chitine shielding, the blue looks very good. The head looks nicely converted, though the green tongue is a bit...

Good work!

That is amazing.

I like the idea of a sort of arctic and nautical 'nid, and of course it looks flippin' awesome.

Great model. Painting is excellent. The gloss of the skin vs the matte of the carapace is very nicely done. Top paint job.

I have to say, I disagree here. To be honest, I always prefer models whom fit their base. Personally, I feel the base doesn't quite suit this model. Although, it is a very nice base ^-^

I think it suits the base quite well. The carapace is blue even if the skin is red.

Of course it is the red terror.

If I ever do 'nids I might try doing an arctic base and scheme.

its a very good model. Personally the tusks are out of character and i don't like them much, but its a good model, i'm glad i inspired you.

I don't think the blue goes with the red at all but, individually, both are done to a superb standard. Great job, he's a real eye-catcher. The feathering must have taken you an age!
