Default Exensis Falcarius - Adeptus Titanicus Warhound Titan...

...in Lego. Fooled you?

I built this over the course of five hours or so today in a program called Lego Digital Designer 1.6, which can be downloaded from the official Lego site, so it's a 3d model. The program saves models as an .lxf file, so you have to have Digital Designer 1.6 to view it. It won't work on 2.0, BTW. I'm using a few custom part sets which don't come with the progam. I do have a download for them, which is in the links at the bottom of the post.

I'm not going to take tons of screenshots, as it looks better if you can rotate it and all that. If you really want to see all the details, you'll have to download and view it in Digital Designer

For now, two pics. NOTE: It isn't exactly accurate to the Forgeworld model, since I wasn't using any reference, but I think it's fairly similar.

Thanks!! ;D

BTW, I will be re-working the head pretty soon, 'cos this one doesn't look quite right. Actually, the head took about 2 hours, and went through 3 different designs. It's definitely the hardest part.

I'm also working on re-coloring it to an AdMech scheme I thought up. The only reason it's black right now is because I didn't want to have to switch colors constantly in the middle of building.

Oh, and I stuck another pic in the first post.

That is sweet. Isn't there a way you can send in the LXF and they send you all the parts?

Yeah, but I'm not using an official parts palette, so I wouldn't get all the parts. They only have a limited selection for the Factory system.

I could probably get the parts in other sets, though the entire model would probably cost upward of a hundred bucks. It might be worth it, though.

Also, the model isn't physically possible, since I exploited a few glitches to position parts partially stuck through other parts in a few places. Of course, LDD rotates parts 1/12th of a full rotation, so in real life I could probably position them correctly.

I'm not sure of the scale, but I think it's a few inches taller than Forgeworld's model.

We're modellers, not 4 year olds - it's not MEANT to fit :P

A truely epic construction - now we just need someone foolish enough to do it :P

Heh. :P

I checked the price. I can only get 650 of the parts through the Factory system, which'll cost me 90 bucks Canadian. Then the other 300 parts I should be able to get through Bricklink for another 30 or so. 120 bucks for around 950 pieces is a pretty good deal.

And then if I factor in all the Lego stuff I already have, I can have all the weapon configs. I even have the perfect thing for a Vulcan Mega-bolter.

I just checked the height, it's actually shorter than I thought. Only about 9.5" with the legs fully extended. Close enough for a design done from memory.
