Default George paints a Deceiving gift...

So my friend, Mr. Kittens, had a birthday.
Due to my lack of creativity, I offered to paint one of his models.
Not the supermodel I hoped for, but I hope you guys will enjoy it:

Looks good, though maybe a little bit...'simple', as in not much variety in colours, and most of all, it's a bit too 'shiny' in my opinion.
Other than that, the painting itself is nicely done. It's not that easy to get an 'even' golden colour all around. Strange grin he has though...

Ineluki.
Thanks, I really don't like that head either :-\
(And I got bored, so I gave it a lipstick job, don't tell Mr. Kittens...)

Warwolt.
Hehe, I actually made a cast of it in pure gold, saves allot of time
The only wash I did was to the bottom part of the cloth, a little glaze medium and vallejo white.
The chest is hightlighted allmost up to mithril silver, the rest is a bit more discreet...
Thanks for the compliment

J.
Thanks and spot on, Mr. Kittens wanted it to be "classic/boring" so it would match the rest of his boltgun undead army of doom.

'the rest of his boltgun undead army of doom' ? What do they look like? Do you have any pics of those, to compare with?

PS: Don't worry, I won't tell, don't even know him.

I think it looks good! Pretty much what he is "supposed" to look like from the codex. When I paint mine, i might try a similar color scheme, but try to paint it with non metallic metals.

Ineluki.
Mr. Kittens was not to keen on taking pictures of his army, but here is a quick description:
Black base color, heavy drybrushed boltgun metal body, lightly drybrushed boltgun metal gun, green eyes and wire.
Bases richly decorated with; black primer.
PS: He knows, someone squealed :shifty:

Sven.
Thanks ^^

gerrylum.
Cheers, if I ever make my own necron army, I'll put in a few more hours and make the metal look more reflective
Don't forget to put up some pictures when you paint yours

Hey, that aint a bad model. Well done

My only comment is that I't could have done with a good final crisp highlight to really bring out the detail. But thats just me ;D
