I had a great deal on this tank with my friend super employee discount, so I could not pass on the deal.


My new Hammerhead. My first tank, if I don't count the devilfish as one. I painted it the same basic colors and theme as my devilfish, only this time, I used quality paint. The GW paint I used on my devilfish is now all yellowish and sicusting. See for yourself.



Anyway, my painting skills improved a bit. I still need some little touchups here and there, but I consider it completed and gamable.

Tanx, took no time to make.. well, maybe a few houres to cut, assemble and paint, but it's worth it.

I gave it a armor value of 14, so it's destructible. I use the destroyed one when someone bust the wall to breach the perimeter. I'll make more busted wall, they are so nice!

I am also impressed by the simple but effective concrete wall. One day I hope to do my own...I already have all the bits I need...just not the motivation! :huh:

However I must say, as good as your Hammerhead is, I actually prefer your Devilfish. The cream colour looks less stark and seems far smoother, the highlighting also adds a lot to it.

Has the green on the hammerhead been highlighted yet or are you going to leave it un-highlighted?

Regardless I think the models look very nice. ;; )

For the devilfish, I used bleached bone color. With time, about a few months, it turned out yellowish and the paint is all thick and unusable. I got a similar shade of "off white" called Old white made by Pebeo. Better quality paint IMO. That's why both tanks don't look exacly the same.

As for the highlighs on the HH, I might do them in the futur, but I want to develop a sure technique to make traight lines and avoir the little tremors lines I made on the devilfish.

Maybe using masking tape will help.
