Default Cry havoc and let slip the armoured battlegroup!
Most of this army featured in the recent community game on the IG forums, but I thought I'd showcase it in its entirety here for your viewing pleasure. ;D

Yeah, I used to hate Leman Russes. Then I saw the Russ from the Screaming Eagles featured in the IG collectors guide with the double width tracks and I fell instantly in love. It was right then that I decided to make an armoured battlegroup. The battlegroup arrayed before you is some 2100-2200 points.

I'm planning another squadron...but why do I need at least one more? Just to make it look complete you mean?

The larger tracks are not that hard, but they're time consuming, for each tank you'll need an extra wheel sprue, a track link sprue and a vehicle accessory sprue. Widening the tracks is simplicity itself; just glue a set of wheels to both parts of the running gear assembly, stick them together and slap on the track links as normal. The difficult bit is the track guards. You need to cut opposite sides off two sets of track guards and stick them together. This will leave an ugly line down the middle which you should then cover over with thin plasticard. Takes ages, but it dead menacing when it's done.

Ooo...Stormie. First person to mention the moldline gets a shoeing. :P

The aircraft can be purchased on the Forgeworld website, but are bloody expensive.

The sparse amounts of camo(?) on the Stormtroopers make them blend with the rest of the vehicles well.
