Props on the FWs. They look Excellent. The Lizzies look kinda flat. I suggest an ink wash. The guardsman also looks flat. The vespid looks quite cool.

Not really, theres a fair few ways to it.
With things like the recesses on the FW's you could do something as simple as use a watered down dark blue or black and brush it all over the armour, then wipe away the excess. That'd leave it with abit more depth as the recesses would remain darker. Thats probably the easiest and quickest way. While with the Vespid you really want to build up layers of colour ranging from Black to Gold so its blended better. Plus if you want gold edges dont paint them on like you would normally paint. Put some (not much) paint on a fine brush and just gradually move it along the edges. You dont even really need to use a brush, cocktail sticks work too. That way you should get a clean highlighted edge, that works with most models too. The most important part is to build up layers of colour so its a gradual change.

Oh its orange, what I meant is you build up the colour from dark to light by mixing the two together.
