Ok.. So, this is my very first completed painted fig. I like it (I better have, I spent too many hours on it).

Was fun to do.. hurts the eyes though..

not bad, esp for yor first try. What kind of paints are you using??? Also glue flock to the base instead of painting it green looks allot better that way, other than that I have to say it is a decent first try.

Yeah, not bad at all for a first model. ;D

To improve I'd start with working on getting your paint to show in smooth even layers. Your blue is kind of spotty, the tones vary a lot on the pieces...the shoulder most notably. Just work with the paint in thin layers, water down your blue a little and go over it a few times like that. It will get your blue nice and smooth and also a more consistent color.

The paint doesn't appear to be on there thickly, so seems you have the hang of doing it thinly, just kind of spotty is all. But again, good work for a first model. Better then my earlier ones.

meh, the only real difference between colours of basecoat is how the colour will turn out in the finish

but anyways, i'd give the gold a quick wash with slightly watered down flesh ink or brown ink, and the silver a wash with some form of black wash or ink
