The one ting that is wrong with it is that it hasn't been a based.

Ummm, ok.
I am not a fan of drybrushing but some people really like it, its totally up to you. So are you not big on painting, so you dont want to highlight, blnd etc?
Ok, if thats the case..put another layer or few on the gun. I can see through your layer.
I'll get back to you when I get more of an idea what you want.

I had to paint that thing with 11 paints ... I didnt have enough paints so i chose the closest one to the eldar gun color .... Khommando Khaki ... I always had trouble with that because it was such a thin paint ... Anyways, i will paint it more thickly ...

Ok ... highlighting and dry-brushing isn't the same? I thought thats how you get the corners and stuff ...

(pardon my ignorance)

Paints Used
Chaos Black
Skull White
Dark Flesh
Khommando Khaki
Boltgun Metal
Brazen Brass
SnakeBite Leather

Codex Gray Dry-Brush

Ok,
Why do you have to paint it with 11 paints?
Firstly, dont apply it 'thinker' that's bad, real bad jks. Just apply multiple layers it gives a really slick and smooth look.
Drybrushing is in my opinion a messy way to get some paint onto raised edges, Eldar models don't tend to need this, seeing as they usually have flat panels of armour - that's why 'edge' highlighting is used. Basically, carefully put a small amount of paint onto the tip of your brushing and drag it across the edge of a panel of armour - using a tone higher (or add white too it) paint. In your case, grey.
- Give it a go, if you practice that enough you might want to learn to shade/layer etc. They're much harder.
Cheers!

What Hazard said. Dry brushing is very useful for textured surfaces like fur because it will pick up those high points without running into the deeper points. No matter what though it's all a matter of opinion and as long as you're happy with it then it's all good.

Water down the dark flesh and apply a wash over the gun to create shading and then go over that with khaki again, leaving brown in the recesses. Highlight with skull white, khaki mix and then the very edges with skull white. Should work.
