Default Imperial Fists Chaplain

I saw someone's conversion of the Captain Sicarius models on these forums a while back, it was converted into an IC with a jump pack and lightning claws. Clad in black armour, it looked incredibly sinister and I instantly fell in love with it. At the time I was planning a Chaplain to enhance the effectiveness of my Assault squad and as soon as I saw this chap's conversion I knew I had to have my own.

So thankyou whoever you are, here is my own approximation of your brilliant model:

Wow nice one Tom.

The blending on the Lightning Claws are great. Is that the Company Champion's helmet?

Go Fist!

Thanks, bud. Yeah, that's the company champion helmet. I had originally planned to make him in a similar fashion to the 'Vampires' (the assault squad to which he is attached); the helmet would have been easy, but the left shoulder pad looks too good to chop off and replace with a shield. I may yet get an Emperor's Champion helmet and replace it with that, but money's a bit tight at the moment.

You could just attach the shield to the side of his jump pack if you really want him to fit in with the rest of the squad... the only thing I don't like is that his helmet is, uh, Chaplainy enough... no skull or anything...

Awesome conversion! Regrettably, two bones to pick:

UNO: lack of a skull helmet.
DOS: lack of a Crozius Arcanum - 'less he's got it strapped to his back and I can't see it, or something.

Still a fantastic conversion despite, and would still make a good squad leader.

You're right. I could give him a Red Scorpions helmet painted in Bleached Bone, but I don't really want to draw attention to the head, I'd rather the claws caught your eye and drew your focus because I think they do a lot to further enhance the wide and impressive posture of the model.

I'd considered hanging a crozius from a lanyard but in the end I thought it uneccesary. Perhaps that's something to consider? The back of the model does look very plain.

If you really want to bling him hout, chain it to the his right side of the jump pach and then have the shield on his left side...
