My test figure for my new Tau paint scheme. I think I have learnt that I need to use a matt rather than a gloss varnish! I'll post up pics of my path finder squad once I have finished it.

Nice colour scheme. Lets see the next one before the varnish, so we can compare... Nice black-lining.

I like the natural feel to it, although personally the Gloss spoils it.

Yeah, it does look better without the camera flash showing on the gloss, but it still doesn't look great... As Koloth suggested, I'll post up some pics before varnish next time and you can see what they are supposed to look like!

I looks very nice but the varnish shine make sit less pleasing to the eye.

The gloss has to go. Other than that, I think the Pathfinder looks fine.

I'm not keen on the colour scheme, looks too 'Imperial Guard-esque' for my tastes, not very futuristic. But I guess that's what you were going for; gritty, hardened troops; elite 'real' soldiers in a space-age theatre of combat.
Whether I like them or not though, they're very well painted. Good job.
