Well my independent stockist guy wanted me to paint this entire regiment of Silverhelms, which made me shiver when thinking about painting elves since they have to be

1) Bright
2) Clean

Furthermore, he disliked the black horses as shown on the 'eavy metal' Silver Helms, he wanted them white. Which made me scream into oblivion.

It took me two days to paint the first Silverhelm and I nearly died of exhaustation as I worked my way up into painting the horses white, plus I have to maintain the cleanliness of the metal and gold areas (No orky rust and dirt effect).

I used a new type of foliage for the base, got it from a train shop with a cheap price. Amazingly it did some great instant foliages, just pluck some and glue on base.

So here's the first Silverhelm, a champion.



Argh, 7 more to go.

This is my first time painting an elf, and lots of bright colors, please give me some constructive criticism as I need it to get ready when I start Bretonnians.

i think they look great personally, how did you do the white on the horses?

The white is very well done, as is the overall model.

I especially like the cloak and, from what I can see of them, the gems

Currently the Ogre Bulls are still sitting around here, so I have:

-High Elf Silverhelms
-Ogre Leadbelchers
-Ultramarine Honor Guard Champion
-Ultramarine Honor Guard Standard Bearer

how did you do the white on the horses?

Oh I painted Graveyard Earth, then Kommando Khaki. From there I added Skull White and build my way up to the final white. It's tough painting the horses but I hope I'll get through 7 more. :P

Those look awesome Komrad! The white looks better then the 'Eavy Metal white, in my opinion.
