Default Lion Guard! (Ethereal Honour guard made from spare bitz)

OK so this is my Lion Guard (Ethereal honour guard) that I made from my Spare Bitz models .... I put on their hoods which are supposed to be Lions manes > and then i added some kroot stuff on to 'em and made little Inuit inspired visors for the ones with cloth over their faces...... ;D
Hope you like 'em! ;D

Whole squad

Captain

Squad member with visor

It seems that you used the green stuff with styrofoam thing again huh?

Not bad.....

Personally, I would expect an honor guard to be more flashy and drill-team styled, but your models do look cool.

Sorry... I do not like those at all. They are just rip-offs. Also, the cloaks don't even look like cloaks. They're just heaps of coloured stuff.

I had to be harsh. I don't like the idea.

But your painting is very nice.

Hmm, Im the complete opposite of you Krimxon, I love those tau!
It shows his creativity, and that he is resourceful! I really like the cloaks, like they are covering them, trying to blend in with the atmosphere.
Your painting also looks awesome, keep up the good work!

Maybe if you made them actually look like cloaks, and not bags of dirt with heads and guns poking out of them, they'd be a bit better.

I actually like these, very original. Love the lion fur and heads, great work. The paintjob could have been a little bit more cleaner and the bases need some work too.

They just look messy... they don't even look like Tau, let alone Honour Guard.

I love the idea of getting more models out of a boxset by using the spare heads and creating greenstuff bodies and cloaks.

However i'm afraid in my eyes you failed to pull off this splendid idea.

They look like they're melting.

To do true cloaks and capes you need a wire armature, then use milliput to create a basic human/tau form, before using rolled out flat greenstuff cut to shape to form capes and cloaks. Also a top tip is to wear surgical gloves. Stops the greenstuff getting covered with fingerprints.
