The Planet
Tarruna IV is 85% farmland, 10% of the surface is covered in water and only 5% are Cities and towns, the planet provides the Tau Empire with a large amount of their food intake, so if an enemy was to capture this planet, or even a small part of it they would be very rich indeed.
The Story

The planet of Tarruna IV had always been occupied by the Tau Empire, they only had one large city and the rest of the population lived in towns and villages. Until now the people of the planet were peaceful, until the dreaded Imperium of Man turned up. The Imperial Guard landed on the opposite side of the planet from the City of On'Shava'Da and started to launch wave after wave of attacks on the defenseless villages. The Division of Tau Soldiers based in On'Shava'Da were sent to the villages to do their best with the defense there. Whilst the main part of the Division was away, Attack Group Alpha advanced on the Northern part of the city and took the remaining defenders by suprise, now the newly renamed 1st Tarruna Liberators had a foothold in Fort Manzt. In the first few hours of the attack the Liberators took Tetrix Spacestation making the civilians stranded. The Tau leader
Commander O'Gartha commandeered an old tower and renamed if the Citadel Of Hope, and has defended the Arrix Power Station well, recently the Guardsmen have had an easy attack route towards the Power plant was made by a stray rocket that knocked down a wall section.

The Tau have to hold out for 3 days before reinforcements, stand up against
the humans and attack the fortress, or use stealth teams to make it to the stranded civilians then bring them back to be evacuated off the planet.

well i can be anything tau or tau allied right? Can i have stuff not in the books like a big knife or does it need to have rules for it somewhere?

Thats a good question, since the defence force is somewhat tattered at the moment, I'd say they will resort to anything to save the city, so I know this sounds wrong, but I'm going to let the Tau use knives, because if you think about is, if your unarmed and theres a knife or a stick on the floor, and a IG is running at you, no way would any Tau pick the stick, unless their stupid.

Elysian 42nd: Special Forces Unit
The Elysian 42nd: Special Forces Unit, or E-42, was one of the first units to hit the ground in the campaign. Having fought almost every moment since they landed the men of the E-42nd have just been recalled to the temporary command center at the Spaceport. The rest welcomed they reported only to be reassured that they had been given a special mission and would be heading out within the hour. After a quick resupply they await their dropship to take them out for another jump.
