While two of the shots flew wide, the second pair to leave the barrel bit into the side of the Eldar; the fine mesh deflected one, but that fourth high-calibre slug bit into Khor'hreq, knocking him off balance. As he slipped and fell into the stream, the Dark Kinsman sent his blade in an elegant stroke across the inside of his opponent's thigh.

Thrug turned, laughing that the pointy 'ead had thought the puny attack would wound him. His mirth died in his throat as blood welled up, and the Orks' vision clouded. The last two things he saw were black ichor tainting his wound, and the submerged rocks rushing up to meet him.

Result:
Victory to Khor'hreq (Spirit of the All-Father)!
  • Minor injury to the Dark Eldar, and minor armour damage.

Feel free do discuss in the signup thread or address me via PM, the third round will start tomorow!

The arena was shifting in shape as the victor stalked off to tend to his injury and the vanquished was borne away on a suspensored vehicle. Deep gullies appeared, and the crowd roared as jets of lava leapt into the sky. Visibility was almost nonexistant, and an extra cloud of vid-drones flew into the arena to keep the spectators informed. Two figures stepped into the waste, a massive abhuman and a lithe Eldar.

The Setting:
A barron ash-waste. Trudging through the ash will be tedious, like walking in very soft sand. slabs of basalt break the terrain, allowing firm footing. Geysers and flows of lava exist in excess, and deep gorges crisscross the landscape; watch your step!

The Play-Order:
Tam'An (azr9)
Shank (JD)
Arena-Master (Dra'Tuisich-Novae)
Tam'An (azr9)
Shank (JD)
Arena-Master (Dra'Tuisich-Novae)

Tam'an viwed his surroundings, he muttered a prayer and set out to kill his foe. He very slowly treaded thru ash, and winced as some sparks struck his face. Tam'an stopped at a river of lava, and decided to find his foe.

Unlike the other competetors shank was a little more brutish and unorthodox. He smashed straight through the release gates before they opened and rumbled out a few feet where he stopped, looked up into the sepctators and lifted both his hefty ripper guns into the air launching a few round of sporradic fire.

But unlike a normal Ogryn he was at least smart enough to know he had somthing to fight in the confines of the arena.

He ran with thud after thud of his feet on the grounds to a largish hill where he turned about himself seaching for the foe. He lifted both guns again and blindly launched rounds around the arena... shredding trees lon the far side and to his sides. Ripping up hills and cracking concrete.

Then he saw a little flash of Eldar armour.

"Mmmm.... pointy elda munchies"
He said as he eyed the area for more signs of the little (in comparison) object of prey. He started up his guns again and shredded up the ground in fornt of the flash. More as a spray and prey tactic than anything.

OOC: Trees and concrete? Didn't you read my description? This is a volcanic ash-waste!

Tam'An cursed, the monster had seen him. It looked as if knife point would not slay the beast. He also found that the beast is not that good of an aim, but the size of the gun would take care of that. Tam'An hefted up his catapult and ran as fast as he could behind a fountain of lava. Crouching behind a rock he waited for the lava to go down. When it did, Tam'An raised his gun and scanned for the beast. He found it, wandering and shooting random shells. Tam'An lifted up his gun and shot a full clip at the side of the Ogryn.(the only side he could see) After, he ran to another rock a few yards behind that.

"Com out ittle man"
Shank teased, as the Eldars weapon fired. Three rounds hit Shank, two in the side and one in the leg. Problem was, shank had thick skin and was tough as nails, he shrugged it off as if nothing happened.

It ached in him a little but he had had much worse. He saw the puny pointy figure darting behind some lava spurts.

He hefted the guns again and slammed down on the trigger. Roundas sizzeled into the lava flow boiluing up, a couple made it though but not enough.

He Screamed at the top of his lungs

"GAHHHHH DIE DIE"
ANd bolted toward the Eldar's position at full run with both guns still blazing. The ammo belts hanging from them getting smaller.

Tam'An was initially safe from the barage behind the basalt boulder, but a pitch-increasing whine caused him to look upwards and then dive for new cover. Even the single-minded pirsuit of the charging Ogryn was stalled firey chunks of rock and sulpher began to rain like meteors from the sky. The only safe havens were overhangs of the rocky protrusions, or the safety of ones' own wit and reflex.

Using stalls in the orgyrns charge, Tam'An ran as fast as he could, to a largish area of gysers and lava fountains. The orgyn was still close enough, Tam'An caught his breath for 3 seconds and the took off, for another location, he pulled the trigger once as he ran. HE got to his next location that was a fair way away from the Ogryn. Tam'an hid behind a rock, waiting to sprint away again.

The chunks of molten rock smashed up the ground around Shank. But it didn't deter him the slightest. He kept pounding on the trigger, one of the rocks hit the ground a spilt second after he was there, he fell off balence and slammed into a near by tree.

Recovering he dropped off one of the ripper guns taking the ammo belt and clipping it to his other one. He hammered on the trigger a little more accurate now.

Rounds flew down at the eldar figure and every peice of cover he took got blown to shreads.
