Re: Fantasy RP [Feeler Thread]

There's already 2 Skaven so a 2nd Lizardmen force is fine.

If you know how Medieval armies work, then its' totally fine especially if you play Bretonnians. Empire is around 17/18th century~ish....

1) Your main character leads an expeditionary force (no more than about 10,000 infantry, cavalry, chariots,...

Re: Whining about the cost of the hobby...

The models also practically last forever. I've seen Rogue Trader models floating around and they're still legal! And that's like...what?...20 years? This kind of hobby is very long term thing.

Re: BA vs. vanilla - reasons to stay with Ultramarines?

Blood Angels really took the cake for being the most ridiculous codex ever written i.e.:
1) Ridiculous Special Characters
2) Better Army-wide Special Rules with little to no increase in point cost...

Re: Best 40k purchase ever?

Space Wolves Pack Box Set is a pretty good deal if you ask me. Plenty of bits to customize your wolves and especially HQ~ish characters. Of course, if you're playing Space Wolves.

Re: Whipping up a Toxic Miasma

Hmm...quick question; what do they mean when they say "count as Initiative 1 until the end of the Assault Phase"? Does it mean for that turn only or is it a redundant statement which means Lash Whip...

Re: Whipping up a Toxic Miasma

Doesn't Toxic Miasma causes a Toughness Test, not an Initiative Test thus having a Lash Whip is pointless as do Paroxysm.

Re: Help v Logan Wing list

However, if you're caught in a situation where the Space Wolves is going to charge you, you charge them first. Like the others have said, whether or not you charge them first, they're going to get...

Re: BA vs. vanilla - reasons to stay with Ultramarines?

I'm not talking about Marine v Marine here. Blood Angels already won that fight with their Furious Change, Fearless and Feel No Pain. So, there' no need to toot your own horn. Grey Hunters are great...

Re: BA vs. vanilla - reasons to stay with Ultramarines?

What Blood Angels have is Deep-Striking Accuracy. Space Wolves have Deep-Striking Offense. Simple reason is that the Space Wolves' core unit, the Grey Hunters have one more Special Weapon than their...

Re: BA vs. vanilla - reasons to stay with Ultramarines?

Re: Militaristic "Ranks" of the 40k races

Meks and Weirdboys are in a special branch of their own so they're not within the conventional ranking system i.e.:

Weirdboy > Warphead

Mek > Big Mek

8th Edition: So watcha going to do about it?

Overall, I think it's not too bad. I really like the Horde Rules since it doesn't makes the 25% minimum Core requirement look too bad especially when you combine your previously 3 10-man Core units...

Re: January uk price rise.

For a government that preaches cutting on spending, they don't seem to mind raising taxes or at least, the VAT.
