Well in Armoured Company you can have Commissar Command Tanks, which are very handy. If you got enough tanks for an Armoured Company you could take them as a second detachment in large games...

Well the whole regiment would be mechanised at the least (in Chimeras), and Independant Commissars might not be the best idea for a mobile firebase like Armoured Company due to their limited use....

It is not a wargear option and simply wouldn't fit in with the idealogy of the Tau - why have an ultra mobile suit leading slow infantry and stopping them using a devilfish transport?
