Competitive Tau in 5th ed???
As I read through the 5th edition rules after such a long absence...and seeing the new Guard and C/SM codices, it disheartens me to see that assault armies essentially have gotten even faster due to...

Re: Lauren's re-painting her Tau - Aun'Zach Sept
It's a nice color scheme...it's like the color scheme from my Storm Troopers. As for gems, I might even suggest a blue or an orange. Red's too overdone for my tastes. Yellow doesn't seem bad, but i'd...

Re: Eldar effective without Aspects?
Basically, the Warlocks and Farseer form a backup unit that can possibly destroy vehicles, if the Dice Gods aren't with me and something doesn't die from a Bright Lance shot. In essence, they've...

Re: Eldar effective without Aspects?
Iguess the other one question would be this: could I use a Psychic power while still inside the transport? or would I have to wait until I disembarked to use it? Because the way I'd run my Farseer...

Eldar effective without Aspects?
I was thinking of something extremely rare if not never even fathomed: a Mech Eldar army without any Aspect Warriors at all. The way I had designed my list is to have my tanks be doingthe main...

Re: 1,500 pt ulthwe mech list
must have been a good game, but it's kinda silly that he took that many Scarabs unless you're talking about 6 Scarab Bases. That's a wholly different thing entirely. Why not switch the Starcannons...

that sounds oddly famliar for some reason for another. sounds like a modified Bible quote. Wow, this is definitely going to bug me for the longest time now. Thanks MechTau. x_x...

Re: Crisis suit Army.. hmm?
I find that the Fire Lance sounds better from a Tau perspective. since when does the Tau ever use Greek names? never. That's an Imperial thing. if you look at the other names (Blinding Spear, Death...

The Foregeworld ships are a lot better than their other counterparts. I must have to say that Fire Warrior Strike Teams = the pwnage! 8) I can't realyl say much except for the fact that a lot of the...

Re: Quick rules question on Target locks
The Markerlight is a weapon system, even if it doesn't deal any damage, so yes, you can fire the Markerlight and a Busrt Cannon at one target while your team is shooting at something else.

The way I figure it, the Crisis Suit-heavy armies are very competitive against things in the nature of horde/or speedy armies. I find that the Missile Pods are great Anti-armor weapons for things...

I would have to agree with Earlydawn on that observation. Though it may seem tempting to put on all that Special Issue wargear offered to us by the newest incarnation of the Tau Codex, I'd recommend...

Re: Tau vs. Tyranids
I think the proper terminology is "Diving" as they can only skim the surface of the Warp before they have to pull back out into realspace. In Kill Team, they also called it Warp Diving, and most of...
