Re: What kind of plastic does Games Workshop use?

IIRC, it's extruded polystyrene. It isn't supplied in liquid form, rather as loose pellets that get melted before injection.

And if I correctly understand where you're going with this, unless...

Re: Maxed out piranhas?

Wrong on both counts. Any vehicle of type "Tank" may Tank Shock. Whether it skims or not, it can tank shock. Conversely, if it isn't a tank, it can't tank shock. Vehicles that are both skimmers and...

Re: Tactica: Chimera

You can have both a turret and a hull heavy bolter. You can also fire any weapon, be it heavy or not, form the rear hatch. The same rules on movement and fire apply to the passengers as if they were...

Re: What do you think of the army: Death Korps of Krieg?

They are deeply cool. Unfortunately I'm already commited to an all-FW Elysian army, so they're out of the question.

Detachment D-99 - Anyone use the list?

Hi all,

Recently got a copy of IA4 for my birthday; I mostly wanted it for the giant gribbly 'nids, but I found my interest piqued by the D-99 list. I've loved the Elysian models since they were...

Godzilla List for UK GT

Hi all,

I'm pretty much settled on my list for the first GT heat (Oct 14/15, I think). I am, however, stil a little bit stuck with the last 200pts or so.

This is what I've got right now:

Re: Vyper jetbikes - how to deal with them?

I notice the tactica for Gargoyles remains unwritten...any of you care to share how you use them? Brood size, deep strike...anything at all?

Re: Vyper jetbikes - how to deal with them?

Thank you for all of your suggestions; I'm taking the opportunity to fiddle the list a little. At the moment, it looks like it's going to involve a little of everything. Once I've finalised it, I'll...

Vyper jetbikes - how to deal with them?

Hi all,

Test-drove my GT list last night, and got absolutely trousered. I won't bother you with the details; suffice to say that careless deployment, indifferent dice rolls and short-sighted...

Re: Tau Online Get Together.

If people wanted to do a UK get-together, why not borrow a leaf from Bolter and Chainsword's book and do it at Games Day?

Pick a time, pile in around the Space Marine statue, and you're away...

Re: New fexes from FW

I prefer carnifexen...

And they are shiny...shame close-combat uberfexen are so inefficient.

Re: Razorbacks - an Analysis

I routinely use 2 HB Razorbacks in my 1500pt list. They often make it through to turn 4-5, if not the end of the game, and I suspect it's for a number of reasons.

i) It's a Marine "armoured...

Re: roads

The FW resin road sections are sbout 5-6" across, maybe a bit more if you include the gutters.

Re: Humorous Glue Stories: Accidents and Mishaps

I assume the kind of stories you pick up every day as the first-aider in an industrial glue factory don't count...? ;)

Re: A serious question on the hobby.

Umm....try taking a woollen coat, soak it in water, then throw it in a damp corner for a week or so. Smear with faeces (donor species unimportant). Sprinkle generously with household ammonia.

That...

So....any of you taking Tyranids to the GT?

Hi all,

Got stupid and went out and bought my UKGT ticket today. Of course, I'm now faced with the problem of trying to figure out what I'm doing before October, but still...

Re: Kill teams

But that's the thing - it doesn't break an immutable (or a mutable) law. It was a specific exception made for Tyranid kill-teams, on account of it being fluffy as hell.

For the record, the article...

Re: Kill teams

There was a WD in the UK that covered updated rules for Tyranids in kill-team when the new codex was released.

Dunno what it said about boss brutes, but I'm loving the 2-Lictor kill team ;)

Re: Vindicator dozer blades...still in fashion?

I prefer Vindicators with the doxer blade. My FW one looked cool without it, but with it....it's all about the driving through walls :)

Well, that and if you leave it off...I guarantee a vehicle...

Re: Cityfight Marines - 1500pts

Frag grenades, sadly, aren't an option for terminators or TDA'd characters. On the other hand, they will benefit from the frag launchers on the LRC in the turn they disembark, so it's not a total...
