Default Icer's Brettonia Barony

Well, I've started assembling and painting my Fantasy army at long last, first model, not really a test as all my models are going to be whatever I feel like painting at the time.

Knights of the Realm squad 1:

Take it from someone who painted hundreds of bretts; your silver is too thick. You need a black base and a light coat of silver, and it will come out beautiful. Also, I like the horse, but please tell me the model isn't finished?

And as a last point.... warhammer models come in units, not squads :P

Its my mental thinking that puts it as a squad. :P

And the horse isn't finished, and likely will not be for a LONG time. Probably some touch ups here and there... but I need more paints before I can do much else.

Thanks for the heads up on my silver, I wasn't sure if I needed to water it down or not, and now I know. :P

Another thing (please don't think I'm picking, I'm just trying to help) With freehand, masking tape doesn't really pull up gw paint, so if you make tape lines, it makes it easier to 'freehand' straight lines, quartering, and halving, which you will do a lot with bretts. If you do find it doing so even then, painting tape at walmart is really cheap :P

A little tip i learnt from art in college is if your afraid of the tape pulling paint or something up, place it on your top first and pull it off a few times
makes it less adhesive =]

The red and yellow on the chest also looks a little thick, perhaps some thinning in those areas wouldn't go amiss?

I say this as I'm terrible at remembering to thin and so my models turn out really FAT.
