well, heres my attempt at making tau look darker than they actually are! To be honest whenever I see those bright green and orange (or whatever) tau, i scream! to me tau are more like a Modern day military, but in the near future.

EDIT: i mixed the paints for teh grey, could someone tell me a colour that is close to them so i don't have to mix?

a few close ups would be great, but form what i can see the yare grade A work. good job!

The scheme itsel looks good and really dark and military like.

It looks if though the painting technique can use some more tips.

on the bright colour side of the story

My tau fight on an iceworld so mine are cammo'd towards it in Ice blue. Modern day military also uses white ( bright colour ) as cammo than >

Good colour scheme, they look very military lika and dark at the same time With a little highlights and some nice bases they will look great!

well, these pics do them no justice, a tired ols excuse i know, but its true! im thinking on what base to do, either a street base (grey) or a snow one, or a combo.

I'd go with a snow base, because if you make a street base there will be too much grey on the mini
But it's only my opinion

I would also go with a winter uban base the snow will break up the gray

I like the gray armor give them a very serious looks and my Tau are green but Dark Angels Green so nice and dark I'm not one for bright colors myself, never have been I feel it draw to much attension
