Hey guys.

I've been painting my 'fex, whom has two sets of scything talons, and i'm really having alot of trouble with getting a nice, clean look to them. I've been trying for a bone colour by coating them with dark flesh, then Dneb stone (In everything but the recesses) and up to a dneb stone + Skull white, until finally a skull white brush around the very edges.

I don't have any pictures on me right now, but it's looking entirely shocking. I'm not the best painter, but even for me they're looking messy. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how they paint their scything talons?

For the record, my tyranids are painted in a grey flesh/bone carapace kind of scheme.

Try going deneb stone, bleached bone then white... I love bleached bone honestly....

Are you sure? my bleached bone is really yellowy, whereas i find Dneb Stone to be a creamy colour. I will try this though, thanks.

Aye, now that i've seen the problem through a lens, i may have been exacerbating the issue a little bit. Here's a few quick snaps of the tusker-killer
