Couldnt sleep last night as my daughter has given me her cold/chest infection. How kind of her. So between the hours of midnight and 3am I knocked up this tech marine minus his harness. Will try to do that today.

I have been putting off painting my Iron hands because I was unsure on how to do the black. This was done with Adeptus Battlegrey then washed with Badab black. I think the next one will be done with a lighter grey then the badab. I had read in white dwarf awhile ago that this was a good technique for get highlights done quickly on black models. I think the Battlegrey was too dark to begin with tbh. However as it was stupid oclock in the morning for this model it was good enough. The rest of the model was straight forward.

Props, very nice Techmarine. The axe does look good, what colors did you use on it to get such a nice blend from dark to light?

Scab Red, Red Gore, Mechrite Red, Blood Red, Macharius Solar Orange, Fiery Orange, Ivanden Darksun and a little Skull White.
