Not only did you paint Cadian well, you did it cammo, and desert at that!

Then I am further blown away, for your one of the 5 people on this site who accualy know how to base models.

It's perfect in every way, the ONLY thing I would do differntly would be the lasgun, some small parts on it could be painted metal, might be worht a try. ???

I changed the black and white spots to get rid of the 'eyeball-effect'. Do you think that's not quite as strange??

The green looks nice on the dessert indeed. One thing though: Add a little more detail to the guns. Like someone said: Just some more metal should do it

Here it is. A short tutorial on my version of desert camo choc-chio-style:

(F)= Foundation, (V)= Vallejo

Black undercoat

Armour: Catachan Green and extreme highlight with Gretchen Green (F)
Flesh: Tanned Flesh, Dwarf Flesh, Elf Flesh.
Weapons: Chaos Black, very light highlight with Adeptus Battlegrey (F)

Uniform: 1st layer USA TAN-EARTH (V)




2nd layer Iraqi Sand (V)




Brown camo stripes in Calthan Brown (F)




some highlights for the lighter areas in Bleached Bone, the brown stripes with USA TAN-EARTH (V) and the spots with Chaos Black and Skull White added, some basing and you're done!




Simple but effective, isn't it??

Well, I tried Bleached Bone but I did like the white better. More contrast.



Yesterday I ordered a Humvee and some plasticard...my first major conversion project coming up- YAY!
