I've been thinking of paint schemes fo AGES, and I'm still not sure.
Either...

Blue and grey for mountain camoflage.
Snow camoflage but with purple as the sept colour
Purple and black
purple clothes with bleach bone armour.

Any comments???
(i like purple!! ;D)

Look around at what others are doing to see if something strikes your fancy. I have two Tau armies with different types of camo on each. Some like it, some don't. I do so it stays. This is how you should approach it.

To be helpful, I'll tell you from my experience which colors are hardest to work with: Gray, black, and yellow.

Unless you are very good, gray will always look unpainted from more than 18" away. Black requires very good highlights, because it tends to both absorb other colors around it and reflect light. Yellow simply doesn't cover well, so you either get uneven distribution or a gunky look with too many layers.

Hope this helps
