My General technique (for my GD Youngblood model which did well) is the lengthy following:

Graveyard Earth
50/50 GE/Kommando Khaki
KK
50/50 KK/Bleached Bone
BB
(50/50 BB/Skull White) (Optional)
This tends to look very natural, and when blended looks very real

Stylised (like for the new DA from GW)
Scorched Brown
50/50 SB/Bestial Brown
50/50 BB/Bubonic Brown (because we don't want it to look orange)
50/50 BB/Bleached Bone
Bleached Bone
50/50 BB/Skull White

OR (another way)
Bubonic Brown
Flesh Wash
Bubonic Brown
Bleached Bone

Useful or confusing?

My technique is:

Scorched Brown undercoat.
Layer(s) of Snake Bite Leather.
Layer(s) of Graveyard Earth.
Layer(s) of Bleached Bone.
Two thin Snakebite Leather washes.
One Scorched Brown wash.
Layer of Bleached Bone.

I like to use a basecoat of either bleached bone or kommando khaki then wash it with a watered down graveyard earth mix. then just drop some highlights back with bleached bone and skull white.

Its a pretty fast and easy technique and watered down graveyard earth gives results that i"m happy with without spending hours with layering. hope this helps.

some examples
