Default Blonde hair?

Any tips on painting blonde hair? I want my Cannoness to be blonde, but I can't quite figure out how to go about doing it. I know its more complicated than just throwing some yellow paint down...

Any suggestions?

This is a fairly dark blonde I found in ye olde dwarf book.
1. snakebite leather
2. drybrush bubonic brown
3.highight with bleached bone

try this on a differnt model before you do it on a sister It looks good in the book though.

i tend to go bubonic brown, a watered down coat of chestnut ink, then a drybrush of bleached bone

gives a fairly light blonde colour

You can experiment with different ink washes, but I'd definately go with the snakebite/bubonic/bone approach, as it gives a much more natural feel than using yellows. A brown ink can end up giving a dirty-blonde look, chestnut ink tends towards the strawberry blonde.

You can highlight up to white if you want a peroxide-bleached look, and mix in yellows if you want more of a dyed look
