I've got some old models that have a bad colour scheme. Can anyone tell me how to remove the paint from the models so I can use them again? ???

This should be moved by a Mod to the painting section.

If they are metal, I would recommend Nitromors Paint Stripper or similar - Nitromors comes in 3 strengths and you need the weakest. I just get a glass jar (the stuff will etch metal) and fill it to the required depth.
Remove any plastic bits from the mini, including the base, as these will dissolve in the stripper. Dunk your prepared mini in and leave it for a few minutes (longer if the paint is on really thick) then, wearing rubber gloves to protect your hands, use a stiff bristled 1/4" paintbrush to remove the paint and any stubborn patches that may remain in deep undercuts on the model. (At this point, you may find that some superglued joints may come apart). Rinse the model in warm water and admire your gleaming new metal mini. I've used this method with large numbers of ebay purchases without problems. I have heard that the stronger solutions can etch the surface of the mini if you leave it standing in the stripper for too long (hours rather than minutes) Hope this helps Mnem

Simple Green (if you can get it). Just soak the models for 24 hours and scrub the paint off gently with an old toothbrush or something.
I think it loosens superglue as well, so be aware. |

Jesus, the same topic has been posted everyday this week. Look at the stickied topic about removing paint or click on the dozen other topics that ask about removing paint. There also happens to be a search button on this forum and most others. Try it, it searches topics for you. :
Sorry, I'm just tired of seeing the same question from a different person every day.
