Default Primer Question

Well i recently ran out of GW Black primer, and the nearest hobby shop that sells them is an hour away by train, i was wondering if there are any other Primers that acheive the same results?

Ive been kind of reluctant to try other primers snice the GW one has always done well.

I looked at a Tamayo(sp?) Black Primer but couldnt bring myself to buy it.

a used to have this thing called armoury spray black, which was actually grey-black,but worked fine and was about 1/2 the cost.

Just order it from www.thewarstore.com. It'll get there in about 2-3 business days, 20% off too. You can only order GW stuff by phone though.

From experience I must say do not buy Tamayo (or whatever it is, seems close enough to me). It is not good if you're using GW paints, the paint wont stick to it and just flakes off when it dries unless you apply rediculous amounts of clear varnish. You'd be best off making the journey or order online.

Tamayo is a no-no.

I use Krylon Fusion black for my basecoat. Its designed specifically for plastic so I've never had a problem with it flaking off.
