Howdy. I have almost finished my new Tau scheme. Its enchanted blue armor with black cloth and a light black ink wash. However, I am still lacking highlights. Also, I planned to do a yellow/gold symbol, but on the test models it came out really, really badly. The ink wasn't good to it and neither was the black primer. Now, I was wondering if any experianced painters (or really anyone at all) could help me choose a highlight color (I am not an experianced painter and I dont know what goes good) and possibly point me in a good direction for either a different color for the symbol or a good technique. For the highlights, you could try blending it up to skull white, though im not all that familiar with the colour, I do seem to recall it being a light colou?

If not ignore me...

And paint white before you paint the yellow, and don't ink it!

Its a little lighter than ultramarines blue. I think I'm going to try ice blue for the highlights.
